Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar made a statement to Nikkei Asia about whether he had met with Taiwan for HA sales.

Stating that SHAs will play a critical role if the crisis between Taiwan turns into heat, Haluk Bayraktar said, “It is no longer a question of a war without drones. Those who do not use HAs will be on the losing side in future wars.”

Stating that Baykar continues to work to integrate anti-ship missiles, Haluk Bayraktar stated that AKINCI will gain this feature in the near future.

Haluk Bayraktar, on the question of whether it was seen with Taiwan for HA sales, replied, “We have not discussed these issues with Taiwan, we have not received such an offer. However, a global HA manufacturer, we follow them closely.”

Stating that Baykar has exported HA to 23 countries and the interest in Bayraktar TB2 and AKINCI has increased day by day, Haluk Bayraktar emphasized that Baykar HA exports are more than the total number of countries to which the famous defense industry companies export their products.

When asked whether HA will be purchased to India, Haluk Bayraktar stated that their priority is brotherly and friendly countries with strategic relations.

Emphasizing that Turkish HAs are more successful than Chinese HAs, Bayraktar pointed out that the countries are moving from Turkey to Turkish HAs as an example. Haluk Bayraktar said that many of BAYKAR’s customers previously purchased armed unmanned aerial vehicles from in, but Bayraktar “retired” after the TB-2 HAs entered the force.
