Ingredients for Fig Jam recipe

1 kilogram of green figs

1 kilogram of granulated sugar

juice of 1 lemon

1 stick of cinnamon

5 cloves

2 glasses of water

HOW TO DO?

-Boil the washed and peeled figs until they soften slightly.

– Strain the boiled figs and extract the bitter juice by squeezing them one by one.

-Place the figs from which you have extracted the bitter juice in the pot. Place the cloves and cinnamon stick among the figs.

-Add granulated sugar and leave for 4 hours in a closed saucepan at room temperature so that the figs release their juices.

-After adding 2 glasses of water little by little to the figs that wait with granulated sugar and release their juices, cook them on low heat without stirring too much so that the figs do not fall apart.

-Check the consistency of the boiling jam in between and cook for about 45 minutes.

-Add the lemon juice, continue the cooking process for another 10 minutes, then remove the jam from the stove.

– Fill the warmed jam that you have kept at room temperature in jars, after it cools completely, close the lids and keep it.

– Now you can make room for fig jam in your breakfasts.
