Kalin said that the grain corridor agreement could create a new platform for Russia and Ukraine to restart negotiations.
Stating that this will be possible not only with the willingness of the Russian and Ukrainian sides, but also with the support of the international community, Kalın said, “In order to achieve this, of course, Russia needs to stop its attacks on Ukrainian cities. He said that it may be possible for the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine shortly.
Kalin stated that they believed that the independent delegation would work in a safe and free environment at the nuclear power plant and that the visit would stop the tension for a while, and underlined that no one, including Russia, wanted a nuclear disaster.
Kalin emphasized that Turkey wanted to ensure the safety of the nuclear power plant by calling on international delegations.
‘CRIMEA IS PART OF UKRAINE LAND’
İbrahim Kalın said that Russia’s annexation of Crimea is not legal and Turkey’s stance on this issue has not changed since 2014.
Stating that Crimea is a part of Ukraine, Kalın stated that this should be the basis for any agreement to be made.
