Mother Kirstie Jane Bennard was seriously injured while trying to save the children.
Children died at the scene
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office announced that the children died at the scene and the mother was taken to hospital. Father Colby Bennard’s uncle, Jeff Gibson, said in a statement on Facebook that Anne Bennard’s condition is stable. It was stated that Bennard had multiple bite marks all over his body.
The attack lasted about 10 minutes.
Stating that it is not known why pets become aggressive and the attack lasts for about 10 minutes, Gibson said. “There doesn’t seem to be any permanent damage other than a heart that will never heal.” said.

Anne Bennard’s friend Kelsey Canfield stated that dogs named Cheeck and Mia have not shown any signs of aggression for 8 years. “Children were everything to Bennard. If there was a danger, he would never have brought the dogs near his children.” said.
