Messi confirms: “This will be the last”

Argentine legend football player Lionel Messi has announced that the World Cup in Qatar will be his last.

Speaking to Argentine journalist Sebastian Vignolio, Messi said; “It will be the last World Cup for me. That’s for sure. I’ve already made my decision.” said.

35-year-old player; “I didn’t set out to claim to be the best player in history. I just think I’m one of the players on the field. We’re all the same on the field.” said.

“I want to be remembered as a good person, not a good actor”

In the continuation of Lionel Messi’s words; “When I retire, I want to be remembered as a good person, not a good football player. Now I count the days until the World Cup. I think Argentina is not the biggest favourite, because there are bigger ones than us. But we will fight against everybody.” made the statement.

Would he consider becoming a coach?

On his plans after the Argentine legend left football; “I don’t intend to be a coach, but Zidane said the same thing after quitting. Then he did this job and won 3 Champions Leagues. I would like to be the sporting director of a club, to start a team, to accompany the coaches, but I am not sure about that.” spoke his words.
