Gültekin stated that about 300 quotas were left vacant last year and this number increased to 600 this year.

1 in 10 candidates settle into medicine

Expressing that the number of students enrolled in all numerical score types is 200 thousand, Gültekin stated that 17 thousand of them were admitted to the medical faculty and said, “You take 1 out of every 10 candidates to the medical faculty. After all, this is quite normal.

There is one more thing and that is economic problems. When we look at the vacant quotas in medicine, we come across mostly foundation-based universities in the TRNC.
