Is it Galatasaray? Sectsaray?

When I first heard Ahmet Çakar’s claim about Erden Timur, I couldn’t believe it.

Çakar said, “Erden Timur is a project. I saw Erden Timur, who is currently the second man at the gate of Galatasaray opening to the west, kissing hands in the Cemalnur lady’s sect. There is a video of him. It is his private life. I cannot interfere. But this country has attracted a lot of congregations. In the last 8-10 years. Everyone knows what’s going on. We’re seeing the results!”

A club whose president is Dursun Özbek, who is both a Kemalist and emphasizes Atatürk at every opportunity; Moreover, I did not think that this club, whose name is Galatasaray, would do such a thing.

Çakar is right; This country has suffered a lot from the congregations. Isn’t it the same in sports?

What happened to Fenerbahçe is obvious.

Didn’t there be any problems in Galatasaray? Isn’t that why Hakan Şükür’u and Arif Erdem’s photos were not taken down from the walls?

I thought it wouldn’t happen again for him.

But then OdaTV doesn’t broadcast the image too?

In the video, it was seen that Erden Timur was standing on the sofa next to the cult leader; i froze.

I’m upset.

Not just for Galatasaray. I feel sad even in Fenerbahce, Besiktas or Trabzonspor.

I just shuffled the archive.

I read again what Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek wrote in the Anıtkabir Special Notebook, who appeared before the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on June 18:

“Great Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic,

Today, as the 39th president of Galatasaray Sports Club, I am very proud and excited to be in your spiritual presence. ‘Free of mind, free of conscience’ As the Galatasaray family, we have not given up on advancing together in line with the goals you have set for one day, and we will not give up. Your revolutions and ideas will always light our way. On behalf of myself and my fellow board members, I promise that we will carry Galatasaray Sports Club, the pride of Turkey, to greater success. With all due respect.”

Then I found another Uzbek speech. I have read again and again the speeches he made on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic and Atatürk’s emphasis. I have no doubts about Dursun Özbek’s stance anyway. Even though we have never met, I have always been sure that he is a president worthy of Galatasaray.

However, when I read the midnight statement of Galatasaray Club, I was stunned. He says in the statement;

“We are following with astonishment the defamatory, purposeful and untrue news (!) about our Deputy Chairman of Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş., Mr. Erden Timur, made in some media. It is obvious that there is fear and anxiety.

Galatasaray Sports Club; It is a whole from its president to its management, from its technical committee to its players, from its supporters to its entire community. On this occasion, we would like to remind you once again that; Such manipulative news and comments make us even more close to each other and when Galatasaray is clamped, no power can stand in front of it.

Galatasaray Sports Club”

I’m stuck on the “we’re following with amazement” section. Indeed, we are following with amazement.

Is the image also a lie? Or photo montage? So come out and say it. If not, please answer the following questions:

– Does cultism fit Atatürk, the values of the Republic, and Galatasaray?

– Then why did you take the photos of Hakan Şükür and Arif Erdem off the walls?

– You say, ‘Fear and anxiety about our determination in Galatasaray’s 23rd championship path’… Was there Erden Timur in Galatasaray’s 22 championships?

– Without Erden Timur, will Galatasaray sink?

– What do the other names in the management of Galatasaray, the members of the council, the members of the general assembly think about this?

– When you say unity and integrity… Which unity and integrity? Are those who make bets that Okan Buruk will not see the first 10 weeks, those who play against Cenk Ergün as soon as he is appointed, and those who plot to fulfill Arda Turan are also in this integrity?

Those who said they were Galatasaray fans were pouring messages on social media; In case we don’t feed Erden Timur.

Then let me put a part of the speech given by the Great Leader in Kastamonu in 1925 for the Kemalist Galatasaray fans:

“What could be the purpose of existing sects other than to make their adherents happy in the world and in the spiritual life? Today, in the face of the light of science, science and civilization with all its scope, primitive people who seek material and spiritual happiness with the warning of such or such a sheikh will never exist in the civilized society of Turkey. I do not accept.

Gentlemen and folks, know well that the Republic of Turkey cannot be a land of sheikhs, dervishes, disciples and madmen. The truest, most real way is the way of civilization. To do what civilization requires is enough to be human. The heads of the sect will understand this truth with all its clarity and will immediately close their lodges, of course, and accept that their followers have reached maturity.”

Now I ask:

– Galatasaray or tarikatsaray?

– Can the direction of Galatasaray, the 117-year-old window opening to the west, be changed in order to protect a few people?

Let me remind you of the unforgettable words of the famous Galatasaray player, Bearded Celal:

“Turkey is a ship that goes east without stopping, some think they are going west by running west on the deck of this ship”

Really?
