From Poland to its citizens in Belarus: Leave the country

After Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the last time the Kerch Bridge was bombed and the tension increased after Russia’s attack on Kiev today, there was a reaction from Poland to Belarus, which announced that it would cooperate with Russia militarily.

“We recommend that Polish citizens remaining on the territory of the Republic of Belarus leave their territory by available commercial and private vehicles,” the government said in a statement posted on its website.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko announced today that they have reached an agreement with Russia on the creation of a joint regional military unit.

WARNING TO BELARUS FROM EU AND NATO

The EU and NATO urged Belarus to refrain from getting involved in Russia’s “brutal illegitimate attempt” in violation of the United Nations Charter and international law. “The direct participation of the Belarusian army in this war, or any action, will be met with new and strong restrictive measures,” the statement said, while assessing the army’s participation in the war and the possible consequences, against the vast majority of the Belarusian people.
