Hurriyet newspaper writer Abdulkadir Selvi, He carried the conversation he had with Özer Sencar, the head of the Metropoll research company, to his corner. According to Selvi, Sencar evaluated the election surveys they had commissioned as follows:

“1- Erdogan has turned to the electoral economy in the last 5 months. The increase in civil servants and pensions, the increase in the minimum wage, the floor prices in agriculture, TOKİ’s housing campaign were effective.

2- Those who broke away from the AK Party did not go to other parties. He remained undecided. The ratio of those who left the AK Party among the undecided was 10 points. The opposition could not withdraw those who broke away from the AK Party. Erdogan managed to get back 5 points from the AK Party undecideds.

3- Among the undecided, there is a segment of 5 points from the AK Party and 1.5 points from the MHP. If the People’s Alliance can win back the 6.5-point vote, the People’s Alliance rises to 49 percent, while the Nation Alliance remains at 42 percent.

4- Erdogan’s strong leadership. Erdogan succeeded in strengthening the perception of strong leadership in his international meetings. Its attitude in the Russia-Ukraine war, its creation of the grain corridor, its attitude towards Sweden and Finland in the expansion of NATO reinforced its perception of strong leadership. Erdogan has increased his votes by 5 points in the last 4 months.”

“If Erdogan is moving towards a new electoral victory in these economic conditions, the 6-Man Table should discuss this issue without dealing with anything else.”

Selvi said, “Why can’t the votes of the opposition rise despite the economic difficulties, how did Erdogan rise again? Many things can be listed, from the opposition’s lack of trust in the society to their inability to create hope. But if you want, let’s leave that to the opposition. If the opposition cannot create hope in these economic conditions, and if Erdoğan is moving towards a new election victory, the 6-Man Table should discuss this issue without dealing with anything else,” he said.
