5 rescue workers died in Typhoon Noru that hit the Philippines

More than 74 thousand people were evacuated to safe areas in the areas affected by the typhoon. While fishing activities were stopped in Quezon province, official institutions were closed in Luzon and education was temporarily suspended. Flight and ferry services were canceled in areas affected by the typhoon.

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered air delivery of relief supplies to flood areas and cleaning supplies to needed areas.

The typhoon is expected to leave in the evening, reducing its effect in the Philippines.
