What happened to Razoni

I wrote an article before the agreement made in Istanbul in order to distribute 20 million tons of grain trapped in Ukraine to the world, and I said that the operation process would be carried out like a movie.

Because those ships would come to the Black Sea through the safe corridor opened in the Odessa port, where they were loaded with mines, and they would be searched one by one to see if they were carrying weapons. Indeed, looking for…

The operation carried out by Turkey in cooperation with the UN has worked smoothly so far.

According to the latest information I have obtained from the sources of the Ministry of National Defense, 36 ships have been authorized as of today. Of these, 15 are empty ships going to Ukraine, and 21 are ships that load grain and leave.

There is good news for us too. Eight of our 23 stranded ships came out. Waiting for 15, they will leave when they get their load.

However, the Razoni ship, which set sail for the first time, experienced events that we can say, “This much does not happen even in movies”.

Having survived all the hardships, that is, with the approval of Putin and Zelenskiy, he set out from Odessa to Lebanon, but could not deliver the goods he was carrying.

Because the Lebanese buyer who said “You are 5 months late, the corn is stale” did not accept the goods!

Lebanese officials were content to say, “Our mission was to ensure that the ship sailed to international waters, we would not interfere with the rest.”

And then?

Razoni returned to Turkey and docked in Mersin on 11 August. According to the Financial Times, he sold 1500 tons of his goods to a new buyer here.

He was supposed to go to Egypt after that, but the radar turned into a ghost by turning off his receivers.

He was known to have given the last signal off Cyprus, but his location was missing.

“Where is this ship?” While he was wondering, it was revealed that, thanks to the satellite images taken from Planet Labs PBC, it was anchored in the Syrian city of Tartus and unloaded some of the 26 thousand tons of corn it was carrying.

In other words, the port where the Russian naval base is located on the territory of Assad, Putin’s closest ally!

Syria was one of the first countries to recognize the so-called independence of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics occupied by Russia.

Thereupon, Ukraine broke off diplomatic relations with Syria.

Now that grain, which the Ukrainians had grown and had with great difficulty in the middle of the war, was sold to Syria, a friend of their enemies.

Moreover, Ukraine claimed that before this transaction took place, the Russians stole 150 thousand tons of grain from warehouses during the war and exported it to Syria. The Russians, on the other hand, were saying, “We did not steal, there is no such thing”.

By the way, this ship is flying the flag of Sierra Leone, from a country in West Africa.

It was said that if the grains did not come out of the Ukraine, there would be famine in Africa.

Although, the first ship carrying 23 thousand tons of wheat for humanitarian aid to Africa by the World Food Program (WFP) set off yesterday.

Of course, Razoni is not responsible for the famine issue, but when you think about what happened to him, one can’t help but wonder if something dark is going on…
