Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised to retake Crimea just hours after the offensive launched in the Kherson direction.
Recapturing Kherson will increase hope for other occupied cities as well. In addition, taking the city will also open the Crimean road pointed by Zelenski.

FIRST EXPLANATION FROM RUSSIA
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Ukrainian army’s attempts to attack in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were unsuccessful, and that the Ukrainian army suffered heavy losses during these offensives.

‘During the conflict, 26 Ukrainian tanks, 23 infantry fighting vehicles, 9 other armored combat vehicles were destroyed. In addition, 2 Su-25 Attack aircraft were shot down. The enemy’s manpower losses amounted to more than 560 military personnel.”

UKRAINE ANNOUNCES ITS LOSSES FOR THE FIRST TIME
Valeriy Zaluzhny, the Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine, announced to the world the number of soldiers who died in the war, in a statement he made recently.
Zaluzhny announced that approximately 9,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since the beginning of the invasion of Russia.
