USED FUND FROM USAI
The new package uses funding from the Congress-appointed Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) to procure new weapons, rather than buying weapons from the Biden administration’s existing US arms stockpiles. Assistance from the USAI funding process is expected to be provided through contracts, rather than the weapons being pulled from the current DoD inventory and shipped immediately to Ukraine. It is estimated that the delivery of weapons to Ukraine will depend on the production speed of the industry.
