The family of the employee who died in the accident on the movie set with the US actor Baldwin reached an agreement

In a statement made by Alec Baldwin’s lawyer, it was noted that the lawsuit filed against Baldwin and Rust Film company in February was agreed with Hutchins’ family.

Information on the financial amount or other details included in the deal was not shared.

The wife of the cameraman who died in the accident, Matthew Hutchins, also stated that if the court approves the agreement, the case will be dropped and the shooting of the Rust movie will continue in January 2023.

Hutchins, who will continue to serve as executive producer on Rust, pointed out that the film should be finished to honor his wife. “I have no intention of blaming or blaming Baldwin or the producers. We all believe that Halyna’s death was a terrible accident.” shared his statements.

In a lawsuit filed in February, Baldwin and the Rust Film company were accused of employing insufficiently qualified personnel for reckless behavior and cheap cost in the crash that killed cameraman Hutchins.

Actor Alec Baldwin killed 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with the gun he used during the filming of “Rust” in New Mexico on October 21, 2021, while 48-year-old director Joel Souza was injured in the shoulder in the same incident.

In his first interview after the incident, Baldwin said that he did not know that there was a live bullet in the gun, that he felt deep sadness and regret for what had happened, but that he did not feel guilty.
