While the brands with the highest sales in the Turkish automobile and light commercial vehicle market last month, respectively, were Fiat, Volkswagen and Renault, the same ranking came to the fore in automobile sales.
Automotive According to the data of the Distributors Association (ODD), the automobile and light commercial vehicle market decreased by 17.3% compared to the same month of 2021 and amounted to 48 thousand 336 units.
While automobile sales decreased by 21.3 percent in August compared to the same month of the previous year, to 35 thousand 230, the light commercial vehicle market was determined as 13 thousand with a decrease of 4.3 percent.

According to the information obtained from the ODD report, Fiat took the first place with 8 thousand 12 units in total sales, including passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. This was followed by Volkswagen with 5 thousand 31 sales and Renault with 4 thousand 756 sales.
Ford ranked fourth with 4,508 sales and Toyota fifth with 3,869 sales.
Top selling brands in the automobile market
Fiat was the brand that sold the most automobiles in August with 4,695. This was followed by Volkswagen with 4 thousand 55 sales and Renault with 3 thousand 955 sales.
Hyundai ranked fourth with 2,879 sales, while Toyota ranked fifth with 2,621 sales.
Luxury and sports car sales
In the list, which includes 44 brands in automobile sales, sales were made from all brands except Smart last month.
In August, 43 Porsches, 37 Maseratis, 28 Jaguars, 21 Lexus, 2 Bentleys, 1 Ferrari and 1 Aston Martin were sold.

Looking at the light commercial vehicle segment, Ford ranked first in the list with 3,577 sales in August.
Ford was followed by Fiat with 3,317 sales and Toyota with 1,248 sales.
Volkswagen was fourth with 976 sales and Renault fifth with 801 sales.
