Wallace gave info that the flight was interrupted after an unarmed Air Drive airplane on routine patrol was intercepted by two Russian SU 27 fighter jets.
The British minister added that the Russian jet fired a missile that handed close to the British airplane.
Wallace acknowledged that the incident passed off on September 29.
Stating that they reported the problem to the Russian authorities, the British minister mentioned that Moscow reported that the incident occurred because of a ‘technical malfunction’ about 10 days later.
