Record rise in housing prices – Real Estate News

The Central Bank (CBRT) announced the Housing Price Index (KPI) realizations for June. Accordingly, in Turkey, the KPI increased by 160.6 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year.

Thus, a new historical peak has been seen in the annual increase in housing prices. The previous record was set in May with an increase of 145.5 percent. In June, the monthly increase was 9 percent and the annual real annual increase was 47 percent.

PRICE OF SQUARE METER EXCEEDED 13,014 LIRA

Thus, the average square meter price in residences across the country in June exceeded 13,014 liras. KFE increased by 160.6 percent in Istanbul, 184.9 percent in Ankara and 150.9 percent in Izmir.

According to the CBRT data, the average square meter price in Istanbul increased to 21,328 TL, in İzmir 14,932 TL, and in Ankara 9,155 TL.

SOUTH REGIONS AT THE TOP

The highest annual increase in housing prices in June was detected in Antalya-Burdur-Isparta region with 200.2%. It was followed by Istanbul with 184.9 percent and Adana-Mersin region with an increase of 178.7 percent.

The region with the lowest annual price increase was Bingöl, Elazığ, Malatya and Tunceli regions with 95.3 percent. This region was followed by Ardahan-Ağrı-Kars-Iğdır region with 101.4 percent and Erzurum-Erzincan-Bayburt region with an increase of 106.5 percent.
