The new job of Lady Louise Windsor, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the daughter of Prince Edward, is on the British agenda.
Louise, the daughter of the Queen’s son, Prince Edward, and her husband, Sophie, attends the center a few days a week, tending to the flowers and pruning. The lady, who is preparing to study English literature at the University of St Andrews, is reported to have an hourly wage of 6.83 pounds (130 TL) at the flower shop. Louise, who will continue to work for minimum wage until she starts university, is also known for driving horse-drawn carriages.
The fact that the young woman living in the mansion worth 30 million pounds, or approximately 645 million pounds, was working for minimum wage caused great surprise. While the British public appreciated the situation, it was reported in the news that Lady Louise Windsor worked at the cash register, greeted customers, pruned and changed the pots of the flowers.
“A VERY HONEST AND SWEET YOUNG WOMAN”
Another citizen who encountered the Queen’s granddaughter said, “I can’t believe I’ve seen Lady Louise. I looked twice to be sure. She was a very humble and sweet young woman,” she said.
Speaking to the British press, another person said, “Other staff seemed to like it too. You don’t get your begonia from a royal member every day.”
Majesty Magazine, which publishes on the royal family, said, “Isn’t it great that the Queen’s granddaughter gets a job in the summer like any teenager before she rolls up her sleeves and goes to college?” made his comment.
