Paris attack statement from Buldan and Sancar: It should be clarified as soon as possible

WALL – HDP Co-Chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar issued a statement in Turkish and French regarding the armed attack on the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center in Paris, the capital of France, the previous day.

The following statements were used in the statement of Buldan and Sancar, who called on the French authorities to “lighten the massacre as soon as possible”:

“We learned with sadness that 3 Kurdish citizens lost their lives and 3 others were injured during a brutal attack on the Ahmet Kaya Cultural Center in Paris, the capital of France. First of all, we strongly condemn this brutal attack, our condolences to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives. “We wish him a speedy recovery. Our expectation from the French authorities is that the perpetrators and the attacks be revealed urgently and transparently enlighten the public. The only way to prevent such racist attacks will be to clarify the truth immediately.”

What happened?

On Friday, December 23, an armed attack took place on the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center on Enghien Street in the 10th district of Paris. In the attack, 3 people were killed and 5 people were injured. After leaving the cultural center, the attacker attacked a Kurdish restaurant called Awesta and a barber shop, and was neutralized by the barber staff while trying to change the magazine. It was revealed that the 69-year-old assailant William M., who was caught, was tried for attacking the immigrant tent in Paris last year, and was released on the condition of judicial control 11 days before the attack on the cultural center. It was determined that the three people who lost their lives were Emine Kara, Abdurrahman Kızıl and Kurdish artist Mir Perwer. (NEWS CENTER)
