More Selcuk needs more Bayraktar

If the US agrees to sell us the new F-16 Block 70 aircraft and modernize the aircraft in the inventory, Turkey’s
There is a feeling that all problems will be solved.

However, this is not exactly the case.

Greece received the Rafale planes from France as well as Meteor missiles with a range of 320 kilometers.

This air-to-air missile has a range almost three times longer than the AIM-120 missile we use.

It can be demoralizing when you write the number like this, but there is another distance calculation called “No Escape Zone” in air-to-air missiles, that is, there is no possibility to escape from a fired missile.

When we look at this calculation, Meteor missiles have a distance of 100 km, and the AIM type missiles we use have a distance of 55 km, impossible to escape.

This is not the only problem, the ASEA radar in the nose of Rafale aircraft is more effective and has more advanced features than the mechanical return radars of our current F-16s. In other words, a Greek Rafale aircraft has the opportunity to detect our F-16 earlier and fire its missile.

This is where the title of the article comes into play. ASELSAN will deliver the prototype of the domestic ASEA radar by the end of this year. If you say it’s over, it’s not. On July 5 this year, our domestic air-to-air and beyond-sight missile Gökdoğan was successfully fired from the F-16 in Sinop. This is an important result that TÜBİTAK-SAGE has been working on since 2013.

By agreeing to pay a whole world of money to the USA, however, we got rid of a burden that we had problems with in the supply process, with domestic means.

More importantly, our 5th generation domestic combat aircraft TF-X will enter the Armed Forces’ inventory as of 2030. Meanwhile, Baykar’s unmanned combat aircraft project Kızılelma continues at full speed. Except for Turkey, only US and Chinese companies are currently working on an unmanned combat aircraft with an invisible feature, working with artificial intelligence.

There is also the issue of the wound F-35 inside. F-35s are no better aircraft in air-to-air combat than the F-22s that the US does not export. We call it the highest level Block 70-72 in F-16s, but we can talk about a lot of pluses such as the radar range and take-off weight of the Block-60, which is only produced for the United Arab Emirates. There is also the top version of the F-16, which will be produced jointly with India, which the Americans called the F-21.

As a result, we want to buy a plane, they try to interfere with the destination. It’s best to build our own combat aircraft. Even getting an air-to-air missile had a permitting process and a very serious cost, and we do it ourselves. Let me end this section with the balance that the USA could not maintain in the Aegean: Meteor missiles cannot be fired from F-16s. It has to be either F-35, Rafale, Eurofighter or Swedish-made Gripen aircraft. When our domestic combat aircraft and domestic missile system are activated, we will not have such problems with our trained pilot power. As the Minister of National Defense Akar said, while Greece pays billions of euros for weapons that will be too much to defend the country and less to Turkey, we will also export. That’s why we need more Selçuk and more Bayraktar.

Turkey and Israel’s decision to appoint mutual ambassadors will change all accounts in the Middle East and the Mediterranean.

More Selcuk needs more Bayraktar

Israel remembers many details in the problem-solving art of diplomacy that we hardly remember.

For example, in May 2020, 10 years later, the coronavirus, which made an Israeli plane land in Turkey, caused the world to
medical supplies to Israel during the raging period.

Photographs taken while the cavalry regiment welcomes President Herzog during his visit to Ankara, Israel
had a wide coverage in the media, and the President of Israel announced the new era to his people with this square.

The Turkey-Israel-United Arab Emirates triangle will create a completely different Middle East, with Israeli gas reaching Europe.
Much has been written in the last two days.

Small gestures may not solve problems alone, but it is a fact that they facilitate the solution of problems.
