Letter from Azerbaijani journalist to Pelosi

On a visit to Armenia Azerbaijan Elşad Eyvazlı, Speaker of the Global Journalists’ Council (KGK) Foreign Media Assembly and President of the Azerbaijan Parliamentary Correspondents Association, wrote a letter to the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, who made provocative statements and shed tears against Turkey and Turkey.

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a delegation of congress members started their contacts in Armenia. Pelosi, who caused tension in the region by visiting Taiwan last August and brought China and the USA against each other, made provocative statements this time during her visit to Armenia on the conflicts between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The delegation visited the Tsitsernakaberd Monument, which was built for the victims of the so-called Armenian genocide in Yerevan. Pelosi, who later met with the President of the Armenian National Assembly Alen Simonyan, made provocative statements towards Azerbaijan and Turkey in her first diplomatic meeting. Speaking at the joint press conference held after the meeting, Pelosi said, “It was initiated by Azerbaijan, this must be accepted. Our visit to Armenia is of great importance due to the illegal and deadly attacks of Azerbaijan against Armenia. We strongly condemn these attacks on behalf of the congress.”

ATTENTION LETTER FROM AZERBAIJAN JOURNALIST

After the development, President of the Azerbaijan Parliamentary Correspondents Association and KGK Foreign Media Assembly President Elşad Eyvazlı wrote a letter. Eyvazli wrote the following in his letter:

“Mr. Nancy Pelosi, I greet you from the South Caucasus. I am writing to you, not for political reasons, but to convey a very small part of our human life. We were very pleased with the visit of the Speaker of the Congress House of Representatives to our region of a giant country like the United States of America. Armenia After visiting Azerbaijan, we thought that you would also come to Azerbaijan. However, your one-sided speech in Armenia made us very worried. Africa. We are people who could die for the freedom of our homeland. The reason for our disappointment is that we could expect such a speech from a picture of Iran or Russia. But a very high official of the country called America, where the world expects justice and presents himself as the cradle of democracy, is not only in the South Caucasus. At the same time, he lost sight of his country in the North Caucasus.

“ONLY YOU ARE HAPPY”

Dear Nancy Pelosi, the person who wrote you this letter is an Azerbaijani journalist whose village has been under Armenian occupation for 30 years. An Armenian has never lived in the Kelbecer district where I was born. Dozens of my relatives were killed by Armenia. We have always been attacked by Armenia. But your voice of objection was not heard, on the contrary, you were happy. Thanks to forces like you, who only see the world with blood, Armenia expelled us from our village and deprived us of our chance to live like the most ordinary people.
After 30 years, Azerbaijan liberated its lands from occupation. I took my 82-year-old father to our house. For 30 years, Armenia has devastated the occupied territories in such a way that my father could not recognize the house, the courtyard, which he built with his own hands and sweat. Because everything is destroyed.

“Did you realize that you were insulting HUMANITY?”

I want you to activate your memory a little. Also, you are 82 years old. You are the same age as my father. What would you do if you suffered the same fate as him, if Armenia invaded and destroyed your house and garden, if you lived a life of forced displacement for 30 years? What was my father’s crime? This speech of yours showed him that these sins of Armenia were written on your behalf as well. Did you feel any pain in your conscience when you made a statement in Yerevan in response to these inhuman acts of Armenia? Did you realize that you insulted humanity?

“IN SOUTH CAUCASIA THERE ARE UNWRITTEN RULES”

There are unwritten rules in the South Caucasus: After the age of 60, people never lie, do not be hypocrites, look at everything with the eye of truth, set an example. At this age, being away from reality like you is considered a disease for us. That’s why we see the tears you shed in Armenia as the tears of a crocodile. We want peace, we are against killing people not only in the South Caucasus but anywhere in the world. Have you ever thought about how you will respond to these sins in the presence of Allah? What I have written may sound harsh, but it is still very soft in the face of your unfair, baseless views on Azerbaijan in Armenia. Despite the crimes committed in the South Caucasus, women are treated with kindness. Otherwise, the letter would have been written in a more rigid form. We can’t believe it, are you really that insensitive at this age? If you are not far, I invite you to our liberated village. Have you ever seen a village without a house, a cemetery without a grave, a forest without trees? Armenia has made my village like this. For more than 30 years, tens of thousands of our people have been victims of Armenia’s atrocities. If you accept my invitation, you will see all this with your own eyes. Then how will you look into the eyes of the world despite the views you have expressed against Azerbaijan in Armenia? Won’t you be ashamed? I’m waiting for your answer…”
