Let what happened in Iran be a lesson to us!

Abdurrahman Dilipak, who started to write a column for Habervakti, referred to the protests that started after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died after being detained by the morality police on the grounds that her hair was seen, and said, “The headscarf was the symbol of the revolution. The headscarf became the flag of freedom. Against the Shah’s regime, they were taking their headscarves in their hands and going out into the squares. At the point reached today, that revolution; She is in a state of lockdown in the face of the headscarf burning actions”.

Dilipak, who wrote that they struggled for the headscarf to be free in Turkey and eventually won, said, “But this joy is dying after the nights that tarred the oil lamps with the Istanbul Convention. The illegitimate life of a ‘cultist’ prosecutor is being presented in the media, we are discussing the illegitimate fortunes of veiled deputies,” he wrote.

“Oh, let this be a lesson to us!” Referring to the protests that started in Iran after Mahsa Amini’s death, he continued as follows:

“People are on the streets. The slogan is ‘Death to the Islamic Republic of Iran’, ‘Death to the dictator’. The death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died on Friday while being detained by the security forces of the Revolutionary Guards, is being protested across the country. There are many detentions besides the dead and wounded. The incident started with the death of 22-year-old Amini, who was half covered, as a result of the violence applied by the security forces. It spread to the Kurdish region. For the opponents of the regime, this situation reminds us of the Gezi events that took place in our country. Khuzestan has always been a problematic area. Arab Shia predominates there. There are also problems between Kum, Tehran and Bazar. If things get out of hand, watch out for Azerbaijan and Balochistan. These events in Iran are closely related to Russia and China, as well as Iraq and Syria, Yemen and Lebanon.”
