Convoy made noise in France, wedding was canceled

Traffic violation, shooting in the middle of the street with dry guns… After the chaos in the city of Illkirch-Graffenstaden on Saturday, the mayor canceled the wedding of a couple.

According to the news of the French BFM Alsace, many complaints were made when the wedding convoy accompanying the couple who wanted to get married in the city of llkirch-Graffenstaden honked horns along the road and fired with a blank gun along the street.

On this, Mayor Thibaud Philipps made an extraordinary decision and decided that the couple should not be married.

While those who fired the gun were taken into custody, the mayor, who canceled the wedding, said, “I decided to cancel the wedding ceremony because I felt that we could not allow breaking the rules and act like nothing happened. Everyone in the region now knows that the wedding will be canceled if the law is not followed.”

Thibaud Philipps said that “You have to follow the rules outside in order to benefit from the public service inside”, adding that this decision is a ‘strong’ decision for the society.

It was stated that the bride and groom will have to start all the formalities from scratch to reschedule their wedding.

IT HAS BEEN PUNISHED BEFORE

In France, in 2021, a wedding convoy of 30 cars, in which Turks took part, was fined 9.585 Euros.

It was stated that the convoy did not comply and violated the traffic rules.
