Trump, “He once said, ‘If you’re innocent, why are you accepting the Fifth Amendment?’ I asked. Now I know the answer to this question. Accordingly, on the advice of my lawyer, and for all the above reasons, I refused to answer questions within the scope of the rights and privileges that the US Constitution grants to every citizen.” said.

New York Attorney General James called Trump and his children to testify within the framework of the investigation, in which he claimed that the value of assets such as skyscrapers and golf courses belonging to the Trump Organization company had been misrepresented in financial statements for more than 10 years, but Trump and his lawyers each time objected to the decision and said that they did not have the documents requested by the attorney general’s office. .

“BANANA REPUBLIC”

Before Trump testified on social media platform Truth Social, he confirmed that their property would be questioned under oath, saying, “I will see the racist New York Attorney General for the continuation of the largest witch hunt in US history. My big company and I are being attacked from all sides. Banana republic,” he said.

FBI Raids Trump’s Mansion

Trump’s mansion at the Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida was searched by the FBI on August 8, and the operation was related to an investigation into whether Trump brought confidential records to his Florida residence during his term as President.

It was claimed that the US Department of Justice was investigating the existence of secret records found in 15 boxes of documents retrieved from Mar-A-Lago by the National Archives and Records Administration in early 2022.

Reacting to the operation, Trump claimed that the teams also opened a safe in his house and said, “My beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. After working and cooperating with relevant government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home is not necessary or appropriate. They even broke into my safe. Dark times for our country. Nothing like this had ever happened to a US President before,” he said.
