Devrim Yakut told about the illness of his wife and himself

Master actor Devrim Yakut had to take a two-week break from the ‘Girl in the Glass’ series due to a serious health problem he experienced last April. The character of Gülcihan Koroğlu went to her sick uncle in Van as per the scenario. The 53-year-old actress, who appeared to have been treated at the hospital during this period, regained her health and returned to the set.

“THE SMALL THING HAS HOSPITALIZED ME”

Explaining that he had a clot in his brain, Yakut addressed his fans on 4 May from his social media account:

“After the news of the disease in the press, my phone almost did not go silent. How great is your love, how lucky I am. May Allah not let even a single one of you lose his hair. Exactly a month ago today, a tiny clot popped into the thalamus area of my brain. The tiny thing put me in the hospital. It’s a cheaply circumvented, important issue. I’m fine, it hasn’t left any symptoms other than getting tired quickly and a widespread numbness in my right side. My doctor said it will pass. You called, you asked, you sent good energies and prayers. Thank you all for your beautiful hearts. I hug you all with love. May we have healthy and wonderful days”

“NO THING IS THE SAME NOW”

The famous actor told about his illness, which he became aware of after symptoms, in the Empathy program broadcast on NTV.

Yakut said:

“In an instant, our lives changed. In the morning, I left the house normally, when I returned, my wife Alper could not speak or write. He had forgotten to speak and write because he had clotted the speech center in his brain. Just as Alper was recovering, my feet went numb, then my hands went numb, then half of my face went numb. Since I trained a lot more than Alper and did a lot of reading on the issue, I said, ‘Something has happened to my brain, I need to go to the doctor’. I made a small bag for myself, woke up Alper and said, ‘I have to go to the hospital, I think a clot broke out in my brain’. I was so sure and I was not wrong. It really did. This time, another difficult process began.

Emphasizing that nothing is the same after the disease, Yakut said, “At the end of the day, both Alper and I think: Life gave us a second chance. Nothing is the same anymore. I never thought I could die. I never lost hope” he used his words.
