Bosphorus cruise from the presidential yacht – Politics

The Presidential yacht Yakamoz, which was previously built as a protocol ship and is in the inventory of the Naval Forces Command, was viewed in the Bosphorus.

It was observed that there was a crowded group inside the yacht numbered Y68, which opened to the Bosphorus. It was not disclosed whether President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was in the yacht, which was protected by the Coastal Police.

There was no statement about the President’s program today. Those who saw the yacht with the Presidential sign on it took a photo.

HISTORY IS BASED ON SÜLEYMAN DEMİREL

The story of Y68 goes back to the period when Süleyman Demirel was President.

30 million dollars was spent from the treasury for the ship, which was started as a “State Ship with Protocol Purpose” under the Presidency of Süleyman Demirel in 2000.

The 50-meter yacht was completed in 8 years. When the 10th President Ahmet Necdet Sezer did not take delivery by saying “luxury expenditure”, the ship was included in the inventory of the Naval Forces Command.

The yacht, which was used in military body color until 2019, was restored in 2019 and transferred to the Presidency. For Yakamoz, an appropriation of 56 million 768 thousand 668 TL was allocated in the “Ships” account of the Presidency’s 2019 budget and the ship was taken from the Naval Forces.
