In Argentina, a man attempted an armed attack on Vice President and former President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.

In the images that were reflected in the country’s press, it is seen that a person points a gun and the guards intervene as Kirchner salutes his supporters before entering his house.

ATTACKER DETENTION

Argentine Security Minister Anibal Fernandez said in a statement to the channel C5N that the attacker was taken into custody after the incident and the weapon was sent for analysis.

In the news that was reflected in the national press, it was stated that the person carrying the gun was Fernando Andres Sabag Montiel, a 35-year-old Brazilian, and that he had a previous conviction for carrying a gun.

HE TRIPPED BUT DID NOT FIRE

It was shared that Montiel triggered the gun he brought close to Kirchner’s face, but the gun did not fire.

His supporters have been holding demonstrations of support in front of Kirchner’s house every day since he was sentenced to 12 years in prison in the corruption case he was tried last week.
