‘Murder File’ star dies

Angela Lansbury, the star of the ‘Murder File’ series, which was broadcast for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996 in a total of 264 episodes, in which the ‘Jessica Fletcher’ character solves a different murder in each episode, passed away. Lansbury died at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 96.

The family of the famous actress, who received the lifetime achievement award at the Oscars in 2013, announced the news of Angela Lansbury’s death with the words “She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Los Angeles”. Lansbury would have turned 97 in 5 days.

Singer Marie Osmond also shared the message “One of the brightest stars of the last hundred years…Rest in peace Angela Lansbury”.

Actress Jesse Tyler Ferguson described Angela Lansbury as “graceful and witty” in a post on her social media account. The famous singer dropped the following note in her post: I will never forget the moment when I sat excitedly next to Angela Lansbury on an opening night.

“The great Angela Lansbury, one of the most versatile, talented, elegant, kind, witty, wise, classy ladies I’ve ever met, has passed away,” actor Jason Alexander wrote.

‘Star Wars’ actress George Takei said: “Angela Lansbury, who has won one or five Tony awards and brought detective Jessica Fletcher into our living rooms for a dozen years, has passed through our lives. Rest great spirit.”

The London-born star was nominated for three Oscars for his 1944 films ‘Lights Out’, 1945’s Portrait of Dorian Gray and 1962’s ‘Manchurian Candidate’.

In 2013, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Oscars. He achieved great success by winning the ‘Tony Award’, which is considered the most prestigious theater award in the USA, 5 times. The master actor was awarded the ‘Golden Globe Award’ 4 times.
