Falling

As adults, we fall more often than we fly. According to psychologist Ian Wallace, dreams of falling symbolize the fear of losing control. You no longer have control over certain things in your life because some drastic changes have occurred in your life that you were not prepared for. Think about where in your life (work, relationships, finances, health, etc.) you feel most oppressed or vulnerable and how to correct this.
Some scientists explain falling dreams in terms of simple physiology. As the body goes to sleep, the nervous system begins to calm down, your blood pressure and heart rate drop, and your brain may interpret this physiological change as danger or as you sleep (especially if you’ve been overwhelmed during the day). Imminent death gives you a rude awakening.
The opposite version of this dream is to fly, which means freeing yourself from a heavy burden and gaining the freedom you desire.
