Transportation, chemistry, holding and electricity shares are increasing regularly in the stock market.

Borsa İstanbul has occupied our agenda with the rapid rise and then the rapid decline in bank shares in recent days. In fact, the fact that some stocks came back by falling 10 percent every day (base) turned the perspective towards the stock market to negative. However, if we look at it with a clear head since the beginning of the year, it is seen that the index has increased by 76 percent and provides a protection against inflation for the investor. While the stock market rose by 39.6 percent in the first 7 months of the year, the index maintained its value gain of 37.6 percent, despite the 14 percent decline in the last two weeks since the extraordinary rise of the index began on July 14. When we look at the companies traded in the stock market in terms of sectors, although the banking index, which has lost 37 percent of blood in the last two weeks after rising 150 percent from mid-July to September 9, stands out, it is seen that 4 sectors have increased regularly since the beginning of the year, and have contributed to their investors. At the forefront of these sectors is the transportation sector, which brought in 129 percent to its investors between January and July. Transport has also increased by 48 percent since July 14.

HOLDING AND ELECTRICITY SHARES INCREASED REGULARLY

Holding shares, which increased their value by 50 percent in the first 7 months of the year, follow. These shares have also increased by 41.1 percent since July 14. The electricity sector index increased by 91.5% in the first 7 months of the year and 39% in the next 2 months. The chemical and petroleum index, in which many companies are located, climbed by 53.7 percent until July, and gained 37.3 percent in the following period. The rise in the stone soil industry and trade companies also provided a regular profit, although not as much as these 4 sectors.

In the first 7 months of the year, while the average return of communication, insurance and tourism shares was negative, the IT, sports and construction sectors provided the lowest returns since 14 July.

THERE ARE SHARES THAT HAVE GAINED 405 PERCENT VALUE IN 2 MONTHS

While the market value of the companies traded on Borsa Istanbul reached 143.5 billion dollars, the company that gained the most value in the last 2 months was Cosmos Investment with 405 percent. Şekerbank, which is the subject of discussions due to the movements in the stock, is in the second place with an increase of 220 percent. The third is Atlantis Investment with a climb of 190 percent. Since July 14, when the stock market made an extraordinary climb, the returns of 18 companies remained above 100 percent despite the declines in the last 2 weeks. The number of companies with a valuation of more than 70 percent has exceeded 50. Among these companies are banks, holdings, giant retail and cement companies.

RECOVERY CONTINUES, EXCEPT ISSUE SHARES

On the other hand, the sudden depreciation of 8-9 stocks, especially public banks, as a result of excessive risk taking in VIOP, the futures market of the big players of the stock market, spread to the index in the first days, while the stocks of companies other than the problematic stocks recovered yesterday. While the stock market closed the day with 1.5 percent plus, the banking index also increased for the first time in days. However, blood loss continued in half of the shares where the operations were carried out. A relief was observed in some problematic stocks, especially in private banks. Despite the gain in value in the index, experts state that it is vital to solve the problems in the problematic stocks, which hold positions worth billions of lira in VIOP. According to the information obtained, 5 brokerage houses, where big players trade, come together frequently to solve the problem and try to find a solution within the sector. In VIOP, the guarantees of the shares in which billions of liras are taken by depositing a collateral of 10 to 15 percent, have to be closed on September 30th. In other words, players have to buy the shares they have deposited. If the players do not do this, the brokerage houses are responsible for the completion of the transactions.
