Hailu Hong, General Manager of Vivo Turkey, told Anadolu Agency that Turkey is an impressive and exciting market for smartphone manufacturers.

Expressing that they decided to invest here because it is a country with a young population and growing, Hong said, “According to industry information, 12 million phones were sold in Turkey in 2020. This factory in Gebze has a closed area of ​​approximately 12 thousand square meters and an annual 5 million phone number. “With this investment we have made, we have an employment plan for 2,000 people in the long term. Currently, we plan to increase employment towards the end of the year with approximately 250 employees.” said.

Explaining that they also produce headphones and tablets in addition to smartphones, Hong said, “Our brand stands out especially with its camera and innovative designs. Our Y series models stand out in Turkey. This year, we also launched the V model series with its innovative and original design in the Turkish market.” he said.
