Responding to the criticism that the government announced natural gas discoveries during the election periods, Dönmez’s statement is as follows:
“There were approximately 1.6 billion cubic meters of reserves in Akçakoca. We produced and used them. Although there is oil in Thrace, natural gas discoveries came to the fore, these are also true. It was in 2017 when we started these studies. Ships were purchased in the Mediterranean in 2018. Election 2018 It was held in June. The institution, the ministry has a plan and a program. “Our cost calculations before we started this business seem much more economical than the gas we import. Naturally, our citizens will also resign from this. I don’t want there to be a perception that this job will be distributed free of charge, because there are costs here. Both our nation and our state will benefit from this. It will reduce our dependence on foreign energy.
We are talking about natural gas, of which 99.3 percent is currently imported. We aim for 15-20 billion cubic meters of gas. According to these figures, we can say that it is about 30 percent. This is about our first discovery. We revised 405 billion cubic meters. This is our calculation based on it. With additional discoveries, we reached 710 billion cubic meters in Çaycuma and Amasra. We see that Turkey will use the gas consumed in houses for 33 years. In the first phase, there will be an annual gas production of 3.5-4 billion cubic meters. If we tried to put all the wells into production at once, we would need at least 5 years. We wanted to give the first gas in a short time. The gas released in the first phase meets all the gas to be used in the kitchens of our homes. It will be able to meet all heating needs within 4 years.”

“Probably, the amount of subsidies in natural gas will be over 200 billion. When you compare it with Europe, the country with the highest subsidy is Turkey. Energy prices have risen abnormally within 2 years. When we consider the exchange rate of the product we import. ‘TURKEY BUY NATURAL GAS FROM 15 VARIOUS SOURCES’
“Turkey receives natural gas from 15 different sources. Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia are the countries with the most natural gas reserves. Resources from the east of the Caspian Sea, Iraq and the Eastern Mediterranean can also be added. The formation of a market and the formation of trade at the point where this source enters is very good. natural. And when we add domestic gas to this, we will have much larger gas reserves.”

Afterwards, when we came to power, there was natural gas in only 5 big cities and 50 districts, but today, thank God, we have taken it with 81. The line coming from the west was not enough. Blue Stream, Samsun After that, TANAP was added. Two pipelines of TurkStream came into operation. One works only for us, the other goes to Europe via Bulgaria. Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran can be players here. We have many terminals. We are opening a market place here. The market place will be Turkey, the price will be formed here. We will be players here. There will be a service fee. When we buy the gas, we buy it indexed to the price formed in the markets in Western Europe. But if we create this indicator in Turkey, it will be an advantage in terms of the region in Southeastern Europe. “We are about to complete the roadmap at the moment. ‘GREAT, WORLD-SCALE DISCOVERY IN GABAR, TURKEY’
“In the last 5 years, Turkish Petroleum has increased its production by 50 percent. It has reached 65 thousand barrels. Our target is 100 thousand barrels on the 100th anniversary of our Republic. There are new reserves. Some reserves are small, some are high. We made a discovery in Adana. About 8-10 million barrels, not very high. Actually, we have increased from 7 wells to 7,700 barrels in Gabar. We are talking about 1200 barrels per well. This is quite a high level in Turkey’s average. Our production amount is not very high in Batman because our oil is heavy. We are Raman. We are producing 6 thousand barrels a day in Gabar, 7 thousand 750 thousand barrels from 7 wells in the place where we made the last discovery in Gabar. We will increase the number of wells there. We will exceed 15. We have completed our seismic studies in the neighboring areas of that field. Since we looked at the first seismic data, it is a high potential field. We are learning. The oil reserve in Gabar also entered world history in the 7th place. It is a great discovery on the scale of Turkey and a remarkable discovery on a world scale.”

“There are places in the Eastern Mediterranean that we cannot find. There are areas that we need to drill new ones. We sell boron to more than 100 countries. Boron is also used in agriculture. Last year, we broke an export record in production. it has achieved the biggest export to this side in boron and its products.”
‘WE ARE THE FIRST IN EUROPE IN SOLAR PANEL PRODUCTION’
“The CHP unfortunately follows us from behind and cannot keep up with the news. Currently, we had a solar installation of around 9,000 megawatts. We created an industry from scratch.
