There were foreign personnel who took refuge in Turkey.

WALL – Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, said that natural gas extraction works in the Black Sea continued as planned.

Dönmez denied the government’s claim that natural gas discoveries were announced during the election periods and said, “There have been 13-15 elections in the country in the last 20 years. There are referendums. This is something that has nothing to do with our calendar. Shouldn’t we explain what we found?” said.

Stating that foreign personnel working with Turkey are under pressure, Dönmez said, “There have been practices in Europe where the personnel working in some foreign companies go to their homes and go to the point of ‘let your wife leave this project’. These friends are happy and pleased to work with us. So much so, ‘Our country owns us. They said, ‘We want to become Turkish citizens. They took refuge in Turkey. Let’s say our citizens of European origin,’ he said.

‘PIPES ARE TESTED’

Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Habertürk Television on the live broadcast made statements.

Providing information about the natural gas works in the Black Sea, Dönmez said, “We have drilled 10 wells 180 kilometers away. The completion of the inside of the well has been completed. There is also the installation of the equipment connecting them at the bottom of the well. The pipeline shooting process has been completed on the sea side. “The wellhead operations of the wells on the seabed have been completed, the assembly of the distribution center has been completed, the pipes have been laid, the pipes are being tested. I hope the process continues as planned,” he said.

‘ANNUALLY, IT WILL BRING APPROXIMATELY 3.5 BILLION CUB METERS OF GAS TO LAND’

Dönmez said, “Our first phase production is 10 million cubic meters per day. It will bring about 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually to land.” waiting,” he said.

‘FAMILY PRINTED IN EUROPE’

Stating that foreign personnel working with Turkey are under pressure, Fatih Dönmez said, “There have been practices in Europe where the personnel working in some foreign companies go to their homes and go to the point of ‘let your wife leave this project’. These friends are happy and pleased to work with us. So much so, ‘Our country tells us. “We want to become Turkish citizens. They took refuge in Turkey. Let’s say our citizens of European origin. They brought their families to Turkey, settled down, had children. They even gave me a Turkish name,” he said.

‘WE DO NOT MAKE THE PLANS AND EXPLANATIONS OF THE INSTITUTION ACCORDING TO ELECTIONS’

Responding to the criticism that the government announced natural gas discoveries during the election periods, Dönmez’s statement is as follows:

“There were approximately 1.6 billion cubic meters of reserves in Akçakoca. We produced and used them. Although there is oil in Thrace, natural gas discoveries came to the fore, these are also true. It was in 2017 when we started these studies. Ships were purchased in the Mediterranean in 2018. Election 2018 It was held in June. The institution, the ministry has a plan and a program. These were held regardless of the elections. There have been 13-15 elections in the country in the last 20 years. There are referendums. This is something that has nothing to do with our calendar. Should we not explain what we found? Until now, there was natural gas production, mainly in Thrace and partly in the Southeast. We will only have extracted the gas produced in 50 years in 1 year in this field. First, seismic studies were carried out here in 2020. Then these studies were interpreted. We had exploratory drilling in the Danube 1 well. August 2020 Our President gave this good news to our nation in the year of. There are companies that we get support from. It’s not right to name them, but we work with the best companies in the world.”

‘OUR CALCULATIONS ARE MORE ECONOMIC THAN THE GAS WE IMPORT’

“Our cost calculations before we started this business seem much more economical than the gas we import. Naturally, our citizens will also resign from this. I don’t want there to be a perception that this job will be distributed free of charge, because there are costs here. Both our nation and our state will benefit from this. It will reduce our dependence on foreign energy.

We are talking about natural gas, of which 99.3 percent is currently imported. We aim for 15-20 billion cubic meters of gas. According to these figures, we can say that it is about 30 percent. This is about our first discovery. We revised 405 billion cubic meters. This is our calculation based on it. With additional discoveries, we reached 710 billion cubic meters in Çaycuma and Amasra. We see that Turkey will use the gas consumed in houses for 33 years. In the first phase, there will be an annual gas production of 3.5-4 billion cubic meters. If we tried to put all the wells into production at once, we would need at least 5 years. We wanted to give the first gas in a short time. The gas released in the first phase meets all the gas to be used in the kitchens of our homes. It will be able to meet all heating needs within 4 years.”

‘75% OF THE INVOICE IS NOT REFLECTED TO THE CITIZENS’

“Probably, the amount of subsidies in natural gas will be over 200 billion. When you compare it with Europe, the country with the highest subsidy is Turkey. Energy prices have risen abnormally within 2 years. When we consider the exchange rate of the product we import. If we reflect these to the citizens, the purchasing power of our citizens would decrease. Our government is in turmoil. He managed to get through the period with the least damage. 75 percent of the bill did not reflect on our citizens. If there is anything that can be done in favor of the citizen, of course we exist. We are working on all kinds of scenarios.”

‘TURKEY BUY NATURAL GAS FROM 15 VARIOUS SOURCES’

“Turkey receives natural gas from 15 different sources. Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia are the countries with the most natural gas reserves. Resources from the east of the Caspian Sea, Iraq and the Eastern Mediterranean can also be added. The formation of a market and the formation of trade at the point where this source enters is very good. natural. And when we add domestic gas to this, we will have much larger gas reserves.”

‘TURKEY WILL BE THE MARKET PLACE, THE PRICE WILL BE CREATED HERE’

“Our contracts with Russia have been going on for years. Our first supplier was Russia. The contract was made during the time of the late Turgut Özal. Afterwards, when we came to power, there was natural gas in only 5 big cities and 50 districts, but today, thank God, we have taken it with 81. The line coming from the west was not enough. Blue Stream, Samsun After that, TANAP was added. Two pipelines of TurkStream came into operation. One works only for us, the other goes to Europe via Bulgaria. Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran can be players here. We have many terminals. We are opening a market place here. The market place will be Turkey, the price will be formed here. We will be players here. There will be a service fee. When we buy the gas, we buy it indexed to the price formed in the markets in Western Europe. But if we create this indicator in Turkey, it will be an advantage in terms of the region in Southeastern Europe. “We are about to complete the roadmap at the moment. Our infrastructure is physically ready.”

‘GREAT, WORLD-SCALE DISCOVERY IN GABAR, TURKEY’

“In the last 5 years, Turkish Petroleum has increased its production by 50 percent. It has reached 65 thousand barrels. Our target is 100 thousand barrels on the 100th anniversary of our Republic. There are new reserves. Some reserves are small, some are high. We made a discovery in Adana. About 8-10 million barrels, not very high. Actually, we have increased from 7 wells to 7,700 barrels in Gabar. We are talking about 1200 barrels per well. This is quite a high level in Turkey’s average. Our production amount is not very high in Batman because our oil is heavy. We are Raman. We are producing 6 thousand barrels a day in Gabar, 7 thousand 750 thousand barrels from 7 wells in the place where we made the last discovery in Gabar. We will increase the number of wells there. We will exceed 15. We have completed our seismic studies in the neighboring areas of that field. Since we looked at the first seismic data, it is a high potential field. We are learning. The oil reserve in Gabar also entered world history in the 7th place. It is a great discovery on the scale of Turkey and a remarkable discovery on a world scale.”

‘WE ARE HOPE WITH EXPLORATION WORK IN THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN’

“There are places in the Eastern Mediterranean that we cannot find. There are areas that we need to drill new ones. When we find something concrete, we will explain it as we explained it in the Black Sea. Our friends are hopeful. I hope there will be discoveries there. There are more sites in the Southern Mediterranean. As a formation. “There are some differences. Between the south and the north of the Mediterranean. The extension of the African plate is the reserves in the south. The Anatolian plate, where we are located in the north. There is a plate difference. Our friends say that a valuation is needed taking this into account.”

‘WE DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MARINE JURISDICTIONS IN THE MEDITERRANEAN’

“We do not have a problem with our maritime jurisdiction areas. There is a demand for joint work in Cyprus in the southern part of the TRNC. If there will be a bilateral state, if there will be two independent states, the land and sea borders will be clarified. If their claim says ‘we are the boss of the island’, something like that. No. We say that you should sit at the table for fair sharing, they do not agree.”

‘WE SELL BOOT TO MORE THAN 100 COUNTRIES’

“We closed with a record last year regarding boron. We own 72 percent of the world. We don’t have any more sales as ore anymore, we sell it as processed products. We sell boron to more than 100 countries. Boron is also used in agriculture. Last year, we broke an export record in production. it has achieved the biggest export to this side in boron and its products.”

‘WE ARE THE FIRST IN EUROPE IN SOLAR PANEL PRODUCTION’

“The CHP unfortunately follows us from behind and cannot keep up with the news. Currently, we had a solar installation of around 9,000 megawatts. We created an industry from scratch. Currently, we are in the first place in Europe in solar panel production. We also export. “The demand is around 600 megawatts. The unlicensed party uses it for its own needs. Our Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has decided that at least 5 percent of the energy needs of buildings of a certain size will be met from renewable energy. They will increase this in time.”
