PRIME MINISTER DISTRIBUTED AID MATERIALS
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif, visited the flood area where more than a thousand people died and distributed relief supplies to the victims from a helicopter.
Making a statement after his visit to the disaster area, the Prime Minister of Pakistan stated that the severity of the disaster was greater than expected and called for national unity to support Pakistanis who experienced the disaster.
According to the data of the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), hundreds of people continue to be treated in the flood disaster caused by the heavy rains that have continued since 14 June.
While 662 thousand 446 houses were damaged due to the flood, 287 thousand 412 houses were completely destroyed.
It is stated that 30 million people had to leave their homes due to the disaster.
In addition, 719 thousand 558 cattle were destroyed due to the flood, 3 thousand 451.5 kilometers of roads were damaged, 149 bridges collapsed, 170 shops were destroyed.
Authorities reported that 51 thousand 275 people were rescued from the flood, and 498 thousand 442 people were transferred to safe areas.

A HELPING HAND FROM TURKEY TO PAKISTAN
After the flood disaster, Turkey became one of the first countries to send aid to the region.
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) included the following statements in the message it published on its official Twitter account;
