In the auto market, which continues to shrink, we have listed the best-selling car models in the eight months of this year.
Automotive Distributors Association (ODD) shared the January-August period “Automobile and Light Commercial Vehicle Market Evaluation Report”.
The total market for automobiles and light commercial vehicles decreased by 8.5 percent in the January-August period of 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 458 thousand 446 units.
In the January-August period of 2022, automobile sales decreased by 9.4 percent to 354 thousand 543 units, while the light commercial vehicle market contracted by 5.2 percent to 103 thousand 903 units.
Top 10 best selling cars in 2022
When we look at the sales of the first 8 months, we see that Fiat Egea Sedan is the leader by far. Renault Clio follows Egea with 39,197 units, with 25,397 sales.
Duster stands out as the only model in the top five that is not produced in Turkey in the list, where Toyota Corolla ranks third.

Top selling luxury brands in 2022
In the list, which includes 44 brands in luxury and sports car sales, 379 Porsches, 124 Maseratis, 71 Jaguars, 196 Lexus, 11 Bentleys, 15 Ferraris, 15 Aston Martins and 8 Lamborghinis were sold in the first 8 months of the year.
