Severe storm in Italy spins Ferris wheel out of control

2 people died due to adverse weather conditions in the north of Italy. According to the news of the Italian ANSA Agency, the rainy weather and strong winds affecting the Liguria and Tuscany regions in the northwest of the country caused loss of life, injuries and property damage.

It was reported that there were occasional floods in both regions due to torrential rains, and in the cities of Lucca and Carrara, 2 people, 1 woman, lost their lives as a result of the falling trees in the stormy weather.

It was stated that 4 people camping near the town of Marina di Massa were injured as a result of the falling trees. It was noted that 3 people were injured due to pieces flying from the roofs in the storm near the city of Lucca, and material damage was caused due to the falling of the pieces on the cars around.

In Ferrara, the city administration wanted a “crisis” situation to be declared due to adverse weather conditions, while the Liguria region gave a “yellow” alarm due to weather conditions.

The severe storm in Italy also hit the Ferris wheels in the region. Tuscany Regional President Eugenio Giani shared on his Twitter account the moments when the Ferris wheel in Piombino went out of control during the passage of the severe storm.

Giani dropped the note “Yellow alert extended until tomorrow”. It was announced that there was no one on the Ferris wheel during the storm and luckily, no one was injured. Those moments were reflected on the cameras second by second.
