Lerzan Mutlu’s punishment for insulting Seren Serengil has been announced.
Singer Lerzan Mutlu’s case was heard today. A decision was made in the case where Mutlu was charged with “insulting with a chained voice, written or video message” on the grounds that she made insulting posts about Seren Serengil and her mother on her social media account in 2020, with a demand for imprisonment of up to 4 years and 1 month.
While the defendant Lerzan Mutlu and the complainants Seren Serengil and his mother Nevin Teoman did not attend the hearing held at the Anatolian 41st Criminal Court of First Instance, their lawyers were present in the hall.
Lerzan denied the accusations.
The lawyer of the complainant Nevin Teoman, who spoke at the hearing, “It is clear that the addressee of the insult is my client and his daughter.” He demanded that Lerzan Mutlu be punished. If the defendant’s lawyer is “We demand the acquittal of the client. The addressee of my client’s sharing is not the complainants, and this claim has not been proven.
