According to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, a 32-year-old woman named Brianna Lace Workman sitting behind the mother-daughter suddenly stood up and suddenly pushed the 3-year-old onto the train tracks. The little boy crashed first and then fell face down on the tracks.

“The boy fell face down on the metal rails before being quickly rescued from the train tracks,” Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said in a statement.

Schmidt noted that the toddler later complained of a severe headache and had a small red mark on his forehead, but was doing well.

Brianna Lace Workman, 32, was charged with first-degree assault, third-degree attempted assault, interference with public transportation, second-degree disorderly conduct and endangering others.
