The 96-year-old Queen died at 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, 8 September, at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, according to a death certificate released by the National Register of Scotland (NRS). The queen’s death was announced to the world about three and a half hours later.
It was learned that the Queen’s death certificate was signed by her daughter Princess Anne.
She was buried next to her husband
The funeral for the Queen was held on Monday, September 19.
Queen Elizabeth II was buried next to her husband, Prince Philip, who died in April 2021, after ceremonies held at Westminster Church and Windsor Castle.
