Oldest prime minister to be prime minister twice is running for re-election

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammed announced that he will contest in the general elections expected to take place in Malaysia.

Mahathir served as prime minister from 1981 to 2003 and became the oldest head of government in 2018.

According to the news reported by The Guardian, Mahathir said in a statement to members of the press, “We have not decided who will be the prime minister. The prime minister candidate is only important if our party wins the election” said.
