ABOUT NAGIHAN KARADERE
Nagihan Karadere was born on 27 December 1984 in Adana Kadirli district. A short distance and hurdler, Karadere’s 400-meter hurdles record is 55.09 seconds. Nagihan Karadere competed in the 2012 London Olympics by passing the A threshold.
Nagihan Karadere grew up in Fenerbahçe and competed in the sprint branch.
Nagihan Karadere won a gold medal in the 400 meters branch at the Balkan Youth Athletics Championships held in Constanta, Romania in 2003, a silver medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay and a bronze medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay.
Nagihan Karadere won a silver medal in the 4 x 400 meters relay (with Merve Aydın, Meliz Redif and Pınar Saka) and a bronze medal in the 400 meters hurdles at the 2011 World University Summer Games held in Shenzhen, China.
At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Nagihan Karadere, who competed in the 400 meters hurdles in athletics, was excluded from the race when she made a false start. He took his place on the track to compete in the 4th series in the qualifiers at the London Olympic Stadium. After taking his place in lane 4, he started running long before he heard the gunshot, and was disqualified by the referee.
Nagihan Karadere divorced her husband Uğur Gökçe in 2016. He has a daughter named Ece Arven from this marriage.
