Million-dollar US decision from the Turkish company! They officially announced

Assan Alüminyum, one of the two largest aluminum foil manufacturers in Europe, participated in the ‘Aluminium 2022 Düsseldorf Fair’, which was held on September 27-29 and is shown as one of the largest events of the aluminum industry in the world. Kibar Holding Chairman of the Board Ali Kibar, who answered the questions of journalists at the fair, gave information about his new investments and targets.

Ali Kibar stated that Assan Alüminyum is preparing to take action to establish a production facility in America, and said, “We aim to meet the needs of our buyers, who have the ‘Made in USA’ condition, with Turkish goods. We are planning a self-financing Investment for its realization. We aim to produce 120 thousand tons of annual production in our facility in the USA, which we plan to realize with an investment of 460 million dollars.

Ali Kibar, Chairman of the Board of Kibar Holding, said, “Our strategy will be to strengthen our existing presence in Asia-Pacific while growing in Europe and America with aluminum. Disruptions in the supply chain and supply shortages in global markets will also change the industry in the coming period. We are ready for this transformation. We have a growth target of 3 to 7 percent each year, and we continue to grow by focusing on production and exports. Our 2021 turnover is 4.6 billion dollars, about 70 percent of this figure consists of exports. We export to more than 100 countries in 5 continents from our more than 20 production facilities. In the first half of this year, we grew by 30 percent in terms of turnover. Our year-end growth target for the group is 5 percent”.

Kibar Holding CEO Haluk Kayabaşı pointed out that 70 percent of the 100 million dollar investment that started 3 years ago has been completed, and said, “With these investments, we brought one of the most advanced rolling mills in the world to our country and the industry. By increasing our production capacity to 360 thousand tons, we became one of the two largest aluminum foil producers in Europe. We make 60 percent of the sector’s total exports. Next year, we will invest 80 million dollars in a recycling facility. We will once again demonstrate our determination in the field of sustainability by establishing a recycling facility.”

Göksal Güngör, General Manager of ASSAN Aluminum, said: “We consider sustainability in terms of governance, social and environmental aspects, and we strive to integrate it into all our processes. We produce clean energy equivalent to the annual electrical energy consumption of our production facilities in our renewable energy production facility in Manavgat. I would like to underline that we have received the ASI (Aluminum Stewardship Initiative) certificate, which is accepted by the global aluminum industry and determines the sustainability framework for the entire value chain. We believe that this certificate is an important milestone for the continuation of our sustainability journey.”
