Life sentence for mother whose son, whom she fed on a vegan diet, died of malnutrition

A mother in Florida, USA, has been sentenced to life in prison for the death of her 18-month-old son, who she fed on a vegan diet, due to malnutrition.

Sheila O’Leary, 38, who followed a strict vegan diet to her son, was convicted of six crimes in June.

The investigative team reported that the vegan couple, who lives in the town of Cape Coral, had two more children aged three and five, and it was determined that they were also malnourished.
