LAST MINUTE: ‘Reserve League’ decision from TFF

Last minute news! The Turkish Football Federation Board of Directors announced that the Reserve League was abolished at the request of the Association of Clubs Foundation.

In the statement made on the TFF’s website, it was said, “Based on the request made by the Clubs Association in front of the public, it was decided not to play the remaining weeks of the Reserve League. In line with the request of our clubs, the arrangements to be made regarding the Under-19 Development League will be shared with the public in the coming days.”

In the statement, it was also stated that the decision was taken to re-open the “Knowledge Bank”, which contains information about football players, coaches, health team workers, referees, representatives, observers and football player managers on the TFF website.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Association of Clubs Foundation applied to the TFF to stop the Reserve League organization.

In the statement made by the foundation, “At this point, many of our Super League clubs, which are having difficulties even to survive financially, can’t even find a field where Reserve League teams can play their matches, and in addition to this, due to many other logistics and operational problems, the Reserve League organization has been canceled by the Club Association Foundation. It has requested that an application be made to the Turkish Football Federation for this purpose.

In the statement, it was stated that the application for the suspension of the Reserve League application for this season and for the situation to be consulted again later for the upcoming seasons was submitted to the federation.
