Last minute climate warning from Bill Gates: The scariest thing

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates spoke to David Wallace-Wells of the New York Times.

“WE ARE IN A WORST PLACE THAN I EXPECTED”

“We are in a worse place than I expected,” he said in an interview published Wednesday, saying that the war in Ukraine and global economic problems are distracting attention from climate change and that it is one of the scariest things.

Wallace, on the other hand, pointed out that almost none of the targets first announced by the United Nations in 2015 are on the way to reach them.

“IT WILL BE DIFFICULT”

Gates also pointed to the economic woes, the possibility of a global recession, rising inflation-driven interest rates and high debt levels as things that would lessen the importance of climate change in the public’s eyes. “It’s a huge thing – defense costs, electricity costs, refugee costs, fertilizer costs. War at the height of the epidemic and now rising interest rates, high debt levels everywhere. The next five years will be tough just to get the world’s attention,” Gates said.

TARGET OF CONSTRUCTION THEORICIANS

Responding to the vaccine-related disinformations on social media and the accusations that “vaccines want to be chipped with vaccines” made by conspiracy theorists since the beginning of the epidemic, Gates said, “People like you, me and Tony Fauci have been subjected to many false accusations. I didn’t expect this much. It makes sense for me to put chips on people’s arms. It doesn’t come on. Why would I do that?” had used the words.
