14-year-old Isaac has been sleeping in his backyard against the stars for more than 1,000 consecutive nights. This includes tough days when the weather is -38 degrees. The boy’s father said: “For many, this may seem a little unusual, but for us it has now become a normal routine.” made statements.
Initially, Isaac said he tried staying in his family cabin 50 kilometers from home to test himself when he was 11 years old. And he said that from that day on, this practice had become a daily routine and he wanted to continue it until high school, maybe even longer.
“I don’t think it’s going to end anytime soon. I might even continue in college. It’s so much fun and I don’t feel ready to quit,” Isaac said.
Finding himself on a different adventure, Isaac said, “I was sleeping outside in our cabin, and I thought, wow, I should break my own record for sleeping outside for a week. So I slept outside the whole time on vacation and when I got home I decided to continue.”
The young man, who sleeps outside almost every night, spent special evenings like his 1000th night in the snow shelter they made with the scouting club he belonged to. Apart from that, as of the pandemic process, he left his room and took only a hammock and a sleeping bag with him. In the following process, he decided to research with his family and acquire items that would make his own life easier and safer.
Isaac’s father “found a waterproof hammock in the yard for hanging on a rope and now has a couple of sleeping bags, plus a duvet and top duvet that he can add depending on how cold the weather is. He’s got a great system.” he said.
