A lawsuit was filed by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office after actress Pelin Akil Altan filed a criminal complaint against Habip B., who sent insulting and profanity messages on social media on March 20, 2021.
Noting that the parties did not reconcile, the prosecutor’s office demanded that Habip B. be sentenced to 3 months, 15 days, 2 years and 4 months in prison for the crime of “publicly insulting with a voice, written or video message”.
DEFENDING HIMSELF, “I DID NOT SEND THE MESSAGES”
The case, which was heard by the simple trial procedure, was decided. The accused Habip B., who appeared before the judge at the Anatolian 64th Criminal Court of First Instance, said, “I know the complainant from television series. The Instagram account that is the subject of the crime belongs to me. I used this account between 2020-2021. I no longer use this account due to the change of my phone line. I did not send the aforementioned messages. He refused to accept the accusation, saying, “I would never say such words towards women.”
FINE FOR THE DEFENDANT
The court sentenced the accused Habip B. to a judicial fine of 1,120 TL for “publicly insulting with a voice, written or visual message”.
Considering the past situation of the accused and his tendency to commit a crime, the court did not delay the sentence because it was not concluded that the accused would not commit a crime again.
“THEY’S WORDS CAN HURT HONOR, HONOR AND RESPECT”
Although the court said in the defense of the defendant that the Instagram account belongs to him, but he did not send the message, the responsibility belongs to him; He justified that his defense to get rid of the crime was not respected and that the words of the accused were of such a nature as to offend the honor, honor and dignity of the complainant.
THEY HAVE TWIN GIRLS
On the other hand, actress Pelin Akil, who got married to her colleague Anıl Altan in 2016, had the joy of becoming a mother for the first time in 2019 by holding her twin daughters Alin and Lina.
