Instagram brings the feature everyone has been waiting for

Social media platform Instagram, unlike other applications, offers very difficult ways to reshare someone else’s content. However, according to the latest news, the platform is working on a new feature.

Accordingly, it will be possible to reshare the posts in your highlights.

INSTAGRAM IS COMING SPECIALLY LIKE ‘RETWEET’

According to the news of ShiftDelete; Instagram’s resharing feature was brought up by social media consultant Matt Navarra the other day. Then Instagram’s parent company Meta confirmed it. This feature, which will be similar to the Retweet feature on Twitter, will be even more effective in making the posts viral.

The new Repost feature was first spotted by app researcher Alessandra Paluzzi in May. This week, Matt Navarra posted a screenshot of a new Repost tab on Instagram head Adam Mosseri’s profile.

“WE WILL TEST WITH A FEW PEOPLE”

A spokesperson from Meta made a statement on the subject:

“We are exploring the ability to reshare posts in highlights, similar to how you can repost in stories. So people can share things about them and the original creators are credited for their work. We plan to test this with a small number of people soon.”

Most likely, the tab will own all the posts that users repost on their account. According to the screenshot, ‘Send again’ tab will appear next to the tagged photos tab on users’ profiles.

There is currently no direct way to reshare a user’s post on Instagram. Instead, some users prefer third-party apps. With the arrival of the new feature, these applications will not be needed.

As with its other tests, there is no information about when Instagram will offer the repost feature to users.
