Ilkay Akkaya concert, which was targeted by the pro-media, was canceled

WALL – Adana Ceyhan Municipality, in a written statement today, stated that the Ilkay Akkaya concert, which will be held in the district tomorrow, has been canceled by the Ceyhan District Governor’s Office on the grounds of public order, security and public order.

The written statement made by Ceyhan Municipality is as follows:

“Our 30 August Victory Day concert, which our municipality started with the official permission from the Ceyhan District Governor’s Office on 22.08.2022, was canceled with an official letter reported by the Ceyhan District Governor’s Office due to the last minute development.

The concert program in which the artist İlkay Akkaya will meet with our fellow citizens from Ceyhan on August 30 Victory Day has unfortunately been banned by the Ceyhan District Governor’s Office on the grounds of general security, public order, security and public order.

We apologize to the artist Ilkay Akkaya and all our Ceyhanli compatriots for the cancellation that occurred outside of our initiative.”

Meanwhile, CHP Adana Deputy Burhanettin Bulut shared the Ceyhan District Governor’s article on the cancellation of the concert and made the following statement on his social media account:

“Corruption and bribery have come to a head, they are still trying to ban concerts. The government, which is afraid of festivals, art, artists and folk songs, has banned the Ilkay Akkaya concert in Ceyhan.
