If the dollar is 30 liras, kiss it and put it on your head!

Famous economist Selçuk Geçer continues to be on the agenda with the videos he published on his official Youtube channel.

Stating that the Turkish economy has seen bottoms in the last 17 years, Geçer gave a high estimate by tying the rise of gram gold to the dollar. Claiming that the dollar could see 60 lira in his last statement, Geçer gave an extreme figure if the crisis period did not occur.

“CASH IS IMPORTANT IN THIS PERIOD”

Stating that the resistances started to get harder as a result of the tension in Turkey and that this situation would cause great harm to the economy in a short time, Geçer said that Turkey is in a bad situation in the field of macroeconomics. Noting that the economy has been drawn to the lowest levels in 17 years, Geçer emphasized that cash is important in this period. Passing the definition of lucky for those who remain in cash, “In environments with inflation, first it seems like housing prices go up, but then it turns upside down. You have to be careful.r” he said.

“GRAM GOLD WILL SEE 2000 LIRA”

Expressing that the rises for the dollar will continue at every opportunity, Selçuk Geçer stated that as a result of the 3-digit inflation, we will be faced with a high figure. Stating that there will be a possibility of the dollar seeing 60 liras at the end of the year due to the ongoing bad policies, Geçer also underlined that we will enter a worse process than the 1994 crisis. Giving a message of rise in gram gold, Geçer said, “When the expected rise in the dollar comes, gram gold will test the levels of 1200 lira at the end of the year, 1500. When the dollar is 20 TL, an ounce of gold is 1800. Gold will continue to rise.”

“IF THE DOLLAR IS 30 LIRA…”

Explaining that the current rate of the dollar/TL rate to inflation is 37 liras, Geçer stated that the FED will put a brake on interest rate decisions. Stating that the increase in the dollar will continue, Geçer commented, “If the dollar completes the year at the level of 25 -30 TL, kiss it and put it on your head.”

Emphasizing the 1994 crisis, Geçer reminded that the dollar exchange rate of 8 thousand lira at that time increased to 48 thousand lira and then it was 1 million 600 liras.
