In Bursa, Çiçek Yurdakul’s (37) bag, which she carried with her gold for fear of breaking into her house, was stolen while she was shopping in the market. Stating that approximately 200 thousand lira worth of gold was stolen, Yurdakul said, “Because I was afraid of the thief who would enter the house, I put the gold in my bag and had it stolen in the market. That gold was everything to us. After that day, I had a panic attack.”
The incident occurred on 5 August in Osmangazi district Alemdar District. Married for 4 years, mother of 2 children Cicek Yurdakulwent to the market with her children and mother-in-law after putting the gold of approximately 200 thousand liras, which was worn at her wedding on her way to the neighborhood market and given as a gift at the birth of her children, in her bag for fear of thieves entering the house. While Yurdakul was shopping, she left her bag in her child’s stroller. Yurdakul was shocked to see that his bag was not in place after he bought lettuce. The market shopkeepers gathered upon Çiçek Yurdakul’s call for help and reported the situation to the police. Police teams, who came upon the notice, took Yurdakul’s statement.
Çiçek Yurdakul, who stated that her psychology deteriorated after the incident, stated that she had a panic attack and carried her gold with her for fear of a thief breaking into her house, adding, “I went to the street market in the evening because there were missing items at home on Friday. I was buying fruits and vegetables. When I reached for lettuce, the baby carriage was with me. It was also in the car. There was a baby bag. There was also a secret section inside the bag. theft I was carrying them all there just in case. When I handed the money to the seller, I couldn’t see my bag. I started screaming in panic. I asked for help. Those who saw it said that a woman wearing green clothes ran away. I didn’t see anyone running. There was no one I suspected. It happened in a very short time. Everything happened in 5-10 seconds,” he said.

Saying that the market value of their gold is 200 thousand liras, Yurdakul said, “I had all my wedding jewelery in my bag, bracelets for my children at births and savings for my children’s future. I was going to give my little girl a toothache at the weekend. I went shopping for her. I took the bag with me. “I took it with me because I was afraid, but they took it from me in seconds. According to the calculation at the police station, I lost 200 thousand liras,” he said.

‘THE GOLD WAS THE FUTURE OF MY CHILDREN’
Addressing the suspect who stole her purse, Çiçek Yurdakul said that the stolen gold was the future of her children and said, “For God’s sake, I want them to bring it back. Because those gold coins are the future of my children. I have nothing but them. All our savings that I have kept for 5 years are gone. For God’s sake, let them bring my children’s future back. “They stole it. We can’t do anything at this cost. I was even afraid to exchange it for myself. We were going to buy a house. We couldn’t buy it when the prices of the houses increased,” he said.
Police continue to work to apprehend the suspect.
